UWE THE WORKS
The Works is a new learning zone on the University of the West of England Frenchay Campus open to all students. The Works has high performance PCs with engineering and software development applications installed. The space offers maximum flexibility of ways of working allowing users to come together in more collaborative ways.
Steer Design designed the interiors in close relationship with the key head of departments and also specified and assisted with the procurement of the FF&E to ensure that the client's vision was carried through from concept to realisation. The concept was to create a professional environment while allowing creativity and stimulation to flow. The blue ceiling was key in the design to create the invigorating environment without over-designing the space; it allows the ground space to be functional and understated.
